I believe that young children learn best through playing and exploring the world around them. The program at Little Lamb Nursery has been designed with this in mind. I set up centers, toys, music and movement, etc. that enable the child to learn while they are playing. In other words, opened ended/child directed fun. I am here to provide a warm, nurturing, safe and educational environment and to help guide children into making the best choices for themselves, while teaching to share, communicate and interact with others.
Little Lamb Nursery aims to nurture and care for its children to help them excel in their growth and development by combining an exclusive curriculum tailored specifically for infants and toddlers with enhanced, first class child care services. The curriculum in place has been specifically designed for infants and toddlers and is adaptable so infants and toddlers of all ages and abilities can participate in the activities. Some of the activities include; art, dance, story time, dramatic play, and other games. These activities are adjusted to each individual child’s ability and interest and are designed to work on building social skills, language development, fine and gross motor development, as well as cognitive and sensory experiences.
Infant Daily Schedule; The infant program is set up on an individual basis. It is designed based on the schedule provided by the parent to Little Lamb Nursery during intake, and is designed to enrich the infants developmental skills. Lots of cuddles, love, affection, eating and sleeping.
Infant/Young Toddler (younger than 24 months) Throughout each day we will practice on reaching, grasping, rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, climbing, throwing, catching, kicking, cooing and talking; which ever developmental stage your child happens to be in at the time.
